This original project was conceived as part of the course and mentorship at Keyframe Academy with Pedro Aquino. The theme was the Rube Goldberg Machine, my aim was to create something unique by blending different styles.

Inspiration

My main inspirations were the Rube Goldberg Machine itself, the style of the game Super Paper Mario, and the stickers from the Sketch App. These references not only inspired my ideas but also influenced how I approached the project.

Design

Starting with simple sketches, I delved into organizing the movement trajectory and elements, aiming for a unique approach. Throughout this process, I experimented with various colors to find the ideal palette that would complement the composition in a balanced manner.

Techniques

The animation came to life with the use of additional techniques such as fake 3D, strings, and springs, adding a special and dynamic touch to the composition.

In the animation's gravity interaction, the idea was to alternate between downward and forward movements, as if on a tabletop surface. Due to the paper stickers, I chose to maintain their authenticity and avoid distortion effects. Additionally, the animation was designed to loop, meaning the final state returns to the beginning.

Sound Effects

To complement the visual experience, I decided to emphasize sounds, exploring exaggerations and distortions to create an immersive auditory atmosphere. This contributed to a full immersion in the viewer's experience.
